She was born in Utah being the second youngest of five kids. She was raised by her parent's in Indiana. She was a student at Jeffersonville High School (Indiana) and completed her studies in 1993. Brigham Young University gave her a college education which she completed in 1995 with a bachelor of arts diploma in communications. Gary is a doctor in medical fields, as well as a chiropractor and specializes for weight loss. When they got married in 1994, they divorced in 2016 after becoming an unmarried couple.
